May Allah have mercy on the receiver of this blood. The caption attracts me towards the photo more than its content. It is the occasion of Benazir’s 56th birthday when PPP decided to donate blood voluntarily. The ZOORDARI effect can be seen in near future who ever receive this blood.

The portraits of Founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammed Ali Jinnah have been missing from the Prime Minister House and Presidential House as blogger Farhan spotted it first and reported as “The terrible Blunder at the presidency”. Later on Aly B reported in as “Pakistan – No Longer A Living Monument Of The Quaid?”, Teeth Maestro as “Zardari throws out Quaid-e-Azam from the Presidency”. Afterwards it was revealed by The News and Geo TV.
President Asif Ali Zardari hosted a reception in the honor of national cricket team on winning the ICC Twenty20 World Cup title. On this occasion, the team players and officials had a group photo with President Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani. The photo has following personalities in the Backdrop;
- Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto,
- Benazir Bhutto,
- Bilawal Zardari Bhutto
- President Zardari
But the conventional picture of Quaid-e-Azam, founder of Pakistan was missing. I have no idea about whether it was there before or not but it is a custom or more or less an obligation to hang Quaid’s picture in Government offices and Presidency is not an exception. As a Pakistani citizen I protest strongly against this incident and urge all of you to raise voice in condemning this act. President and PM should apologize for hurting our sentiments.
Unsung Heroes Of T20 World Cup 2009

The World Cup T20, 2009 has proven to be the greatest event for Pakistan cricket after World Cup 1992. The celebrations and enthusiasm was extravagant. Players have been praised and awarded huge amount of money reaching around 53 million mark. Younus Khan is the most benefited player who has grabbed 75, 00,000 Rupees till now and deserving so.
I was wondering since the Final match that what about the Coach Intikhab Alam and assistant coach Aqib Javed’s efforts? They remain the unsung heroes of the event. Intikhab Alam has got a hold of 78, 125 Rupees as award till now according to a news report, while no figures are available for Aqib Javed. Interestingly they both were in the squad of world Cup 1992 wining team. Aqib Javed was the leading bowler of Semi Final and final matches while Intikhab Alam was the coach of Pakistan team at that time.
I remember a skit from a comedy show of PTV after the famous Sixer of Miandad in Sharjah against England. Salma Agha sang a song Eik Bar Milo Hum Sey & it was aired on PTV in mid 80s. Bushra Ansari parodied it as Eik Chakkey Kay Javed Ko & it became a classic hit.
“Ek Chakay k Javed ko……..
Soo Lakh milen gay……….
Tauseef becharay ko dirham Aath milen gay.”
The satirical points was that after that great sixer and win all the praise was grabbed by Javed Miandad while Tauseef Ahmed, who was batting on the other end was completely forgotten. Same is the case with Aqib and Intikhab Alam. The efforts of these unsung heroes are priceless and should be praised at all levels.
Yeh Dosti ………….

Larger than Life; Michael Jackson

During the Eighties and into the Nineties, Jackson, who died of cardiac arrest in Los Angeles became as much a trendsetter for fashion as he was for music. There’s the red leather motorcycle jacket he rocked in the “Beat It” video; the white ankle socks, black fedora and black loafers he wore when he moon walked (and that walk alone is almost as legendary as Neil Armstrong’s); the military-style jacket and aviator sunglasses he toured in during the “Thriller” era; the white V-neck T-shirt that he always eventually stripped down to onstage, and finally, there was that glove, first worn during a performance of “Billie Jean” during a television special in 1983.
Say what you will about Michael Jackson during the last few years of his life — and with the baby-dangling-out-the-window behavior, bad plastic surgery and child molestation allegations, a lot has been said — but it takes a certain kind of star to turn a single sequined glove into a cultural symbol.
More than two decades later, The King of Pop’s style still inspires the fashion set. For spring 2009, Balmain sent a Jackson-esque military jacket down the runway, and it was picked up by celebrities like Beyoncé Knowles and Rihanna (trend-setting singers resetting a trend). Jackson hits like “Thriller” and “PYT (Pretty Young Thing)” are soundtrack staples for runway shows even still.
The singer was also a shopper — a big one. During the Nineties, he reportedly spent an average of $35 million a year. While making the 2003 documentary “Living With Michael Jackson,” reporter Martin Bashir saw him shell out $6 million for marble chess sets, 10-foot urns and other expensive art objects. In 2005, he blew through $150,000 at Harrods in 30 minutes. And in 2006, he went on an impromptu midnight shopping spree at Topshop’s Oxford Street flagship in London. But by that time, Jackson was hundreds of millions of dollars in debt — and looking to sell Neverland Ranch.
In April, more than 1,000 lots of memorabilia from Neverland were planned for auction, but the sale was canceled after an agreement was reached between Jackson and Julien’s Auctions. Having recently turned 50 and about to embark on yet another tour, Jackson seemed intent on making yet another fashion statement. For his “This Is It” tour, set to start July 13, the pop icon had costumes created specially for him by Crystallized Swarovski Elements. Along with the sets, the ensembles would have featured more than 300,000 crystals in 43 sizes and 27 colors. :
“As the King of Pop, it is only natural for him to be crowned in crystal.” Long live the King.
