Have Pitty on Nation……

“Martyr of HeadScarf” Marwa al-Sherbini killed in German court

A woman stabbed to death in a German court was an Egyptian who had sued her attacker Axel W, after he insulted her for wearing the Islamic headscarf. Marwa al-Sherbini, 32, about four months pregnant, who was killed in a court in Dresden on Wednesday, was the wife of Egyptian academic Elwi Ali Okaz who was also hurt in the incident and is now in critical condition in hospital, the state-owned Al-Akhbar reported.

The attacker stabbed Sherbini “shortly before she was to give evidence in an appeal lodged by the man against a conviction for insulting her over wearing the hijab,”. The act has been strongly condemned by Muslims all over the world. Racial discrimination for Muslims should end now and West should respect Muslims. The murderer should not only be punished but punished hard enough to be a lesson for others.

When her husband tried to help her the police fired a shot on him, he is now in critical condition , and Marwa Al-Sherbini died in the courtroom after 18 stabs yes 18 stabs inside the court. The problem is not only the brutal crime itself but why Western media don’t speak about this crime, last week when Neda from Iran killed all the media commented about her like it was a holocaust in Iran, and now they didn’t say anything and you can search ever in internet you won’t find more information.

Shehzad Roy Awarded for Educational Development in Pakistan

Shehzad roy Shehzad Roy is a popular pop singer and humanitarian from Karachi, Pakistan. Since his first album debuted in 1995, with a revolutionary approach to fusing his lyrics with music of different genres, he has been a successful and popular singer. He says that, “the authenticity of the message in a song produces meaningful music.”

With five hit albums under his belt, including the 2008 ‘Qismat App Kay Haath Main Hai,’ (Fate Lies in One’s Own Hands) he is also the President and founder of Zindagi Trust, a non-for-profit charitable organization, that seeks to educate the underprivileged children of Pakistan. In June 2004, Roy was honored as one of the youngest ever recipient of the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, which is one of the highest Civil Honors awarded in Pakistan for excellence in serving humanity. For his organization’s earthquake rehabilitation in Kashmir, he was awarded with the Sitara-e-Eisaar. He was also selected to be a torch bearer for the 2008 Olympic Torch relay as the pride of Pakistan.

His current achievement has made him even more special as this recognition comes from abroad. Shehzad Roy has been awarded the 2009 Patricia Blunt Koldyke Fellowship on Social Entrepreneurship by the Chicago Council on Global Affairs for his philanthropic work in the field of education as reported by Dawn.

According to a press release posted on the Chicago Council’s website,

‘the fellowship recognises Mr Roy’s commitment to providing better learning opportunities in government-run schools, and honours his goal of encouraging Pakistan’s youth to evaluate education and provide them with the knowledge and opportunities they need to realise a peaceful, democratic and political future.’

Elaborating, the press release said that ‘Roy uses the proceeds from his hugely popular concerts to fund the work of the Zindagi Trust, which since 2002 has established vocational centres and healthcare clinics and has worked to improve Pakistan’s educational system. One of its first projects, ‘I am Paid to Learn’, provided child laborers nationwide with monetary compensation for attending school, an important initiative in a country where more than 10.5 million children under the age of 15 work menial jobs to support their families.’

His trust has adopted many schools and worked for development of Secondary education in Paksiatn. SMB Fatima Jinnah School is a well laid example. He turned this deserted school into a hi tech English medium school without charging any fee. Well done Shehzad. Pakistan is proud of you.

Pervez Musharraf to help Heroin trafficking victims in Saudi Arabia

pervez-musharraf3-195x300Follow up of Pakistani family arrested in Saudi Arabia accused of Smuggling Heroin.

Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf once again proves to be ‘influential’. He is going to help the distressed families by talking with Saudi “high” officials. That happened when a TV host (probably Jasmine Manzoor of Business Plus TV) recommend father of one of the lady arrested in Saudi Arabia to talk with Musharraf as last resort which actually worked. Musharraf assured Pakistani family that he would use his influence with the Saudi Arabian government to get them released.

The family was detained after Saudi customs officials found heroin obscured in the slippers of their luggage, which were provided as a keepsake by Al Huda travel agency’s agent, Syed Sarwat Hussain. The detained family has repeatedly claimed innocence, and insisted that their travel agent had given the slippers to them as reported earlier on the blog.

Travel agent, Syed Sarwat Hussain, is already in police custody in Karachi along with his wife Shafia. They surrender to police giving statement that the crime is being done “through them not by them”. It is strange that the efforts of government are not so impressive in this regard while Mr. Musharraf assured that he could help the detained Pakistanis. He is a strong and influential person in Pakistani politics still for sure.

GOLMAAL; Sherry & Rabbani Resignation not accepted yet

sherry-rabbani

Few months ago two federal ministers Sherry and Rabbani had demanded reinstatement of deposed judges of superior courts against their party’s will and paid for it by resigning. People saluted them for their daring decision but Cabinet division has not issued a notification about the resignation as reported by Dawn.

Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has not yet accepted the resignation of Sherry Rehman (former federal minister for information and broadcasting as well as women development) and Mian Raza Rabbani (former federal minister for inter-provincial coordination) from the federal cabinet.

Whole political gimmick was played by PPP to distract people from the core issue of Judges Restoration, although they had to reinstate them later on. The whole practice made Sherry Rehman and Raza Rabbani national figure over night. But there was nothing seen or heard from both of them after restoration of Judiciary. May be the award of that silence is arrived.

Prime minister may assign them new tasks in an expected cabinet reshuffle. Sherry Rehman may be asked to continue her work as minister for women development and Raza Rabbani may be reinstated as law minister if President Zardari agrees.
