What brand comes to your mind when you think of #MothersDay or moms? I came to think of Dalda instantly because of their eternal tagline “Jahan mamta wahan dalda” . It’s good to see trusted and age old brands like dalda stepping into social media turf to interact with their consumers. They quite often have giveaways and competitions going on with hundreds of prizes, literally.
To celebrate Mothers day this year, a dedicated social media community called Mothers of Pakistan has been formed to honor mothers, where people from all over Pakistan were requested to share a message in text/image/video form for their mothers to make them feel special.
The objective of this campaign was to pay a heartfelt tribute to all the Mothers of Pakistan and honour the efforts they make for their children at each phase of life, not just one day.
Dalda Foods and TCS Sentiments has joined hands with this community by offering giveaways. Displaying those wishes compiled in a video on important city roundabouts with oh so pretty OOH was heartwarming.
While coming across one such display My mom felt crying watching all those beautiful mothers day messages by people. Sad that mine doesn’t display at that time😢 but it was worth the effort.
Dalda food has made a beautiful TVC for the campaign while celebrities were seen wishing their moms and Mothers of Pakistan. What I’ve liked the most about this campaign is minimal branding while the focus was on occasion more. Kudos for executing the campaign without overpowering it with the brand/product. No wonder that the campaign was all over social media.
