70th Sooper Independence Day of Pakistan 

There are ways to commemorate Independence Day in style. Some want to do it with flags and buntings, some show their passion for their country through songs and some tries to accomplish something big so that people can remember them for long. This year Pakistan turns 70 years old and definitely calls for a celebration. Social media was abuzz this time with something grand by Peek Freans Sooper and now we all know what it was about. They’ve attempted a Guinness world record on 14th August 2017 in Islamabad. 

Peek Freans Sooper has made Pakistan’s 70th Independence Day a memorable one by registering a Guinness world record for largest Cookie Mosaic Flag in their name. Peek Freans Sooper has become first National brand to break the world record at such scale. Cookie Mosaic Flag was made with specially made Peek Freans  Sooper cookies in the colors of our flag i.e. Green and white. (How I wanted to taste those green cookies). With #SooperHaiPakistan campaign Peek Freans Sooper has made Pakistanis united for the love of their country. 

Pakistan’s flag shaped cookie mosaic was made with 150,000+ cookies measuring 226.51 m2  (2,438.15 ft2) in under 7 hours with the help of so many volunteers and celebrities. From the cricketing legends Younus Khan and Shoaib Akhtar to film and TV stars like Osman Khalid Butt, Hareem Farooq and Anoushey Ashraf lended a hand in making it possible. Biscuit by biscuit, a beautiful looking Pakistani flag was assembled with love and care. 

Peek Freans Sooper has officially broken the Guinness World Records title for the Largest Cookie Mosaic in the shape of Pakistan’s flag made with 150,000+ cookies measuring 226.51 m2  (2,438.15 ft2). Safety and hygiene were given extreme importance and the EBM team ensured that the strict quality standards employed by Peek Freans were followed throughout the process. The record building process was overseen by independent witnesses including a health and hygiene inspector and a surveyorfrom Islamabad.Upon completion of the cookie mosaic, the biscuits were distributed in custom built containers to notable charities across Pakistan. That’s the spirit of freedom and generosity. Nothing edible should go to waste. So Kudos for making it possible.
