#MeriShaanMeraPakistan – Beautifying Karachi with thematic Wall Art

Karachi, being the biggest metropolis deserves much more than it has got from the citizens and government on so many levels. Be it cleanliness of the city or beautification drives, we all need to take the ownership and work to make this city a better place. It is always good to see people working towards causes that make their cities proud. One such drive is happening for the past couple of years by EFU Life insurance and I am Karachi.

#MeriShaanMeraPakistan drive is all about getting rid of those Bengali baba ads from Karachi walls. The city don’t deserve such ugly graffiti and wall chalking all over it. In order to pay an artistic tribute to our dear homeland EFU Life initiated “Meri Shaan, Mera Pakistan” project In 2016. Under the guidance of Commissioner Karachi, Mr.Ejaz Ahmed Khan and his esteemed team of the project of beautifying Pakistan through thematic wall art commenced and produced such beautiful results that they’re continuing it this year to celebrate Pakistan’s 70th Independence day on a bigger scale.

Last year #MeriShaanMeraPakistan project has covered Ayesha Manzil and NCC walls. A 2000 sq.ft wall at Ayesha Manzil and a 3000 sq.ft wall of NCC Sports Complex has been painted with thematic Wall Art depicting our culture and love for our dear homeland. EFU Life has now extended this project to a third location, the Aga Khan Park, Garden, opposite Ismaili JamaatKhana covering a space of over 7000 sq. ft. This year the Independence Day celebrations are even bigger and with Meri Shaan Mera Pakistan artwork Karachi can proudly be part of the celebrations with pride. EFU Life had a contest for artists too in which they’ve asked to submit artworks. The winning artwork is going to be featured on Agha Khan Park wall. Look at all the fabulous artwork that has been painted so far.

Hats off to the talented artists who are making efforts to paint such beautiful artwork capturing the essence of Pakistan. From food identities like Anday wala burger to our train stations and the lost tradition of travelling in Tongas, #MeriShaanMeraPakistan themed art walls are a treat to watch. I can’t wait to visit the Agha Khan park and have a look at it myself closely. Definitely going there with my kids. It is like an exhibition and a walk through the history via art.

Hope we all treat this effort of EFU life with care and also take care of this art in coming years by preserving it and further working to make Karachi even cleaner.

#SayItWithASmile to be a millionaire

Lays Pakistan has always been my favorite when it comes to engaging campaigns and innovative ideas to get customers hooked to the product apart from the taste of it. I bet you can’t eat one is the most apt tagline when you think about lays. Lays as a brand has grown with millennials and catered to their approach in unique style. From engaging Messi and Wasim Bhai TVC to last year’s Lays #PassASmile fever with so many cash giveaways, the brand is definitely a consumer favorite.

Good news is that they’re back this season with another quite engaging campaign called #SayItWithASmile. Watch the latest TVC of lays Pakistan featuring none other than Shahid Afridi who grabbed some lays to spread smiles.

There are times when we all want to smile in a different way. Like when you’re watching movies with close friends or siblings and there’s a horror scene during which you want to terrify your most darpook sibling, you’ll need a vampire smile. Hehehe. I am so sure she/he’ll be hell scared but will also enjoy the smile. It is kinda new Bhaoo lol.

#GiveBack a precious memory to your mom this mothers day

Every year just when Mother’s day is around the corner, you’ll find so many tempting deals and discounts. However, the best presents has to be the personalized ones rather than buying something on discounts. You/your mom will cherish a personalized gift for a long time.

Mother’s Day this year falls on 14th May which means it is high time to get something for Mom. While on Facebook I’ve stumbled upon TCS Sentiments contest post with a touching line that says, “It’s time to #GiveBack the things that she gave up for you”. I was so touched that I can’t stop myself checking out what TCS sentiments is offering. It is all about the connect a brand makes with you.

Mothers Day #GiveBack campaign

BTW, there’s a contest still running on their Facebook page to share an image recreating a memory when your mom gifted you something. You can win a shopping spree by TCS Sentiments. So do participate coz winners are being announced everyday. Check TCS Sentiments Facebook page for more details.

While listing down the best personalized things that you can get for mom this mother’s day, I’ve narrowed down my choices to this wonderful box by Tang via TCS Sentiments with 20% off if I pay through Jazz Cash. It’s a win win situation.

The best personalized gift it is coz you can send a message to mom in a bottle. We often can’t describe our love for mom and this is the best way to do it.

Don’t shy away from sharing your emotions and Gift her the best out there. The box won’t cost you much but your mom is going to cherish the memory it will create for a long time.
