Give your life Flavor ka Daily Dose coz #LifeNeedsFlavor

Every moment of life deserves to be cherished and I am the type of person who never believed in planning. I like to live it in the moment and enjoy it to the fullest but sometimes you need to boost up a little. Like when you’re with friends the energy is totally different as compared to when you’re with family or colleagues. Fun times needs to be celebrated differently and what better than lays. Instant mood upgrade guaranteed.

Recently I went to a road trip from Karachi to Northern Areas of Pakistan for the first time with my two kids. The experience was surreal. It has its ups and downs and my mood swings too. Trust me with kids a road trip can be so much fun or a mess. There’s no other way around. Thank God I had an ample stock of lays with me throughout the journey to keep kids munching on while enjoying the ride. Uptill Babusar Top from Karachi there’s no dearth of Lays too. They’re available at every gas station and shop which is remarkable. Afterall life needs flavor and a road trip is incomplete without fighting over the last lays chips in the bag.

My little one is a fan of masala lays while elder one likes to have French cheese flavour. My daily favourite is Lays salted and for a gathering of siblings I prefer special edition flavours. We seldom get together for tea time, probably once a week and the time calls for special fun filled flavorful evening. So we like to munch on new lays offerings and then discuss life and happenings. Such memorable discussions we had over a cup of tea and Lays. The most consumed flavor so far is yougurt and herb in our meetings. Soon to be beaten by new launches I guess.

While treating guests on special occasions, I like to serve some wavy Lays or salted ones because of their presentation and different taste profile. During a movie marathon at home, we love to munch on a combo of Salted and French cheese lays with few dips like salsa, garlic mayo etc. There’s a flavor for every moment of life.

Wondering which flavour we’ll go for our next fun filled meet up? Lays has introduced two new flavours,  Mexican Paprika and Thai chili and both are tempting me. Can’t wait to try them and pick my favourite. What’s your daily dose of Flavor for a life boosting experience?

#MeriShaanMeraPakistan – Beautifying Karachi with thematic Wall Art

Karachi, being the biggest metropolis deserves much more than it has got from the citizens and government on so many levels. Be it cleanliness of the city or beautification drives, we all need to take the ownership and work to make this city a better place. It is always good to see people working towards causes that make their cities proud. One such drive is happening for the past couple of years by EFU Life insurance and I am Karachi.

#MeriShaanMeraPakistan drive is all about getting rid of those Bengali baba ads from Karachi walls. The city don’t deserve such ugly graffiti and wall chalking all over it. In order to pay an artistic tribute to our dear homeland EFU Life initiated “Meri Shaan, Mera Pakistan” project In 2016. Under the guidance of Commissioner Karachi, Mr.Ejaz Ahmed Khan and his esteemed team of the project of beautifying Pakistan through thematic wall art commenced and produced such beautiful results that they’re continuing it this year to celebrate Pakistan’s 70th Independence day on a bigger scale.

Last year #MeriShaanMeraPakistan project has covered Ayesha Manzil and NCC walls. A 2000 sq.ft wall at Ayesha Manzil and a 3000 sq.ft wall of NCC Sports Complex has been painted with thematic Wall Art depicting our culture and love for our dear homeland. EFU Life has now extended this project to a third location, the Aga Khan Park, Garden, opposite Ismaili JamaatKhana covering a space of over 7000 sq. ft. This year the Independence Day celebrations are even bigger and with Meri Shaan Mera Pakistan artwork Karachi can proudly be part of the celebrations with pride. EFU Life had a contest for artists too in which they’ve asked to submit artworks. The winning artwork is going to be featured on Agha Khan Park wall. Look at all the fabulous artwork that has been painted so far.

Hats off to the talented artists who are making efforts to paint such beautiful artwork capturing the essence of Pakistan. From food identities like Anday wala burger to our train stations and the lost tradition of travelling in Tongas, #MeriShaanMeraPakistan themed art walls are a treat to watch. I can’t wait to visit the Agha Khan park and have a look at it myself closely. Definitely going there with my kids. It is like an exhibition and a walk through the history via art.

Hope we all treat this effort of EFU life with care and also take care of this art in coming years by preserving it and further working to make Karachi even cleaner.

Pakistan Zindabad.

I got my Australian #PassportToFlavor

If you were given choice to chose between going to China, Italy or Australia(based on the food choices primarily), where would you like to go? I am sure that’s difficult to decide but I am a bit biased towards Australia when it comes to food. Blame thy Masterchef Australia maybe. All I need now is Passport to Flavor which is right here in my hands.

  2. Chinese Szechuan (V spicy)
  3. Italian Pizza ( haven’t tried yet)

The packs can be your passport to land in either China, Italy or Australia. All you have to do is Vote and win. SMS the name of your favorite flavor to 9005 and you might get a trip to your favorite foodie destination.

#JeeLayHarPal – Youth’s Mantra of Life

How many times you’ve heard in your life that “Hawww Haye? Aisa kyun?”, “Mat krna!! Log kiya kahain gay?”. The dilemma of our generation was to hear lots of clichéd statements like this. No longer valid for youngsters I guess. I don’t often say this to my kids, infact never should I want them to grow up being suppressed by society’s approach. One should be able to enjoy life to the fullest and that’s what #JeeLayHarPal is all about.

Pepsi, being the youth centric brand has always come up with interesting campaigns to cater to the dynamic community of youngsters. By getting youth icon, the biggest rock star Atif Aslam on board as the new face of Pepsi, the brand has definitely struck gold. Who else in fact the youngsters look Upto as their Idol other than Atif Aslam? He can mesmerize crowds with his unique voice & recently been praised a lot for being a gentleman in one of his concerts by rescuing a girl (victim of harassment) on stage. The act not only wins hearts of Atif’s fans but had a message for all of us to live in the moment & let that moment be memorable for all the good reasons.

The very next week, Atif Aslam unveiled Pepsi’s new moto, Jee lay Har Pal in his beautiful voice during a star studded event in Lahore. Listen to the rocking number here, in case you’ve missed it. PS: You can download JLHP tune on your phone. Just type ‘JLHP’ and send it to 9005 to get the download link.

Jee Lay Har pal is all about enjoying life to the fullest without any conditions. Living in the present without being worried about the future. The message is very relatable to millennials because they’re the enthusiastic generation with passion for living life fearless. Despite all the hardships that may come their way, today’s youth knows how to overcome their shortcomings and carry on to achieve their dreams. Pepsi’s new mantra encourages youth to follow their dreams, be energetic and unconventional. Living life while enjoying every moment of it is what Jee lay Har pal is all about.

Being a mom restricts me to so many things in life like hanging out with friends, going out for movies or long shopping sprees but my Jee Lay Har Pal moment is definitely the time I spend with my kids, making memories with them. Afterall, this precious time will not return in my life and I’ll be cherishing these memories later. For all those hangouts that I am missing, you can wait for a few years. No?

Anyway, I am so looking forward to seeing more of Atif & Pepsi together this year as it is just the beginning. Till then let’s just try to #JeeLayHarPal kiya Pata Kal ho na ho.

#PoliceAwamSaathSaath – Bridging the Gap

Police Awam Saath saath is an initiative by National Police Bureau of Pakistan, aiming to bridge the gap between the police and the public of Pakistan. I have been seeing this community growing and making its presence felt on social media in past few months. Police department has no such praises under their belts despite sacrificing lives and always being there to serve us(Awaam) . Of course there’s a reason behind such public behavior of not recognizing the good things about our police, perhaps the wrong doings overshadows the positive vibes often.

Police Awam Saath saath Whatever the case maybe, I guess it is about time that awam and police know each other through easily accessible social media platforms and put the forum to a good use by sharing their experiences or stories.

I see people calling police wala on the road as Tulla or farmi anda out of disrespect because we have a perception that they’re all corrupt. ‘Signal torro, Chai paani do aur nikal lo’,  This is our mindset and needs overhauling too. The hindrance one faces to report a crime to the nearest police station and the fear of dealing with police is an important issue too. There are good people in the police force too and it’s about time that we share their stories, listen to the hard work that they’re doing an Dahi their families go through. Afterall, policemen are one of us and they’re there to serve us. No one should be above the law.

Police awam saath saath forum can also be wisely used as a platform to voice your opinions and experiences regarding police of your area. If you have experienced something, whether good or bad, let people hear it. Share it to bridge the gap. Let the fear of dealing with police die. It is also indispensable to make it easier for public to access men in power.

#PoliceKoJanain aur apnay faraiz ko bhi janain taakay aap apnay haqooq k liae larr sakain. #PoliceAwamSaathsaaath hongay to Pakistani society tarraqi karegi.
